After School Skate Club

Starting September 9th - Just after school starts for the Beaverton and Hillsboro school districts/

With the departure of summer and the arrival of school, after school clubs are a great way to keep up the skills developed during the summer spent at the local skateparks. Our after school program is geared towards riders ranging from 7-13 years old (elementary and middle school) who want to keep their skating skills fresh. This program will run for ~11 weeks until Thanksgiving, allowing plenty of time to learn and grow.

Riders participating should already have basic skills and ability to skate. If not we encourage you to come to either our 10 and under session on Sundays 10-noon, or contact us for either private or individual lessons.

A typical afternoon consists of about 30 minutes of gearing up, skate theory and verbal instruction, as well as history and culture of skating taking place in our event room. Among these lessons will be park etiquette and safety. After that is a 90-minute skate session with one of our instructors and the group of riders. Each skate period will consist of a focus on a particular obstacle or skill, and then break into free skate for the remainder of the time.

Parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from the park. Drop off is anytime after 3:45pm and pickup is requested to be no later than 6:15pm. Also note that this is an after school program during an open session, so other riders could be in the park at the same time.

As always, helmets are required for riders 18 and younger. Pads are optional but encouraged. Rentals are available if needed.

Please see the calendar below for available days and weeks. Registrations for 1 day a week (full term or month) should be made in person to ensure accuracy. Single days and full term can be booked below. Registrations are on a first come first serve basis. A filled out waiver will be required for each rider before registration is complete. Please note: the participant is the riders name and infomration. When their date of birth is entered, the parents/guardians name and information section will be shown.
